Poofy top?
After changing the part, washing your wig or topper, or even after shipping, the top can sometimes look a bit too full, dense or "poofy".

I like to use a hot comb and gently comb and press the hair down at the top.
This helps smooth the base and makes the wig or topper look flat again.

Low density hairline wigs are designed to have more volume on top, so if you prefer a flatter look, this trick really helps.

After using a hot comb, you may need to tidy up the return hairs a little at the end.

How I change the parting on a wig

I work in small sections and use a good amount of water at the roots, right where the hair is attached to the lace. For me, this works best because the hair becomes more flexible and easier to manipulate, and it settles into the new parting much more naturally once it dries.

I gently comb the hair into the direction I want, section by section, until the part sits exactly where it needs to be.
My preferred method is to then let the wig air-dry overnight. I almost never use a blow-dryer on hair pieces, patience really is kinder to the hair.

If you’re in a hurry, you can use a blow-dryer while combing the hair flat. Gently press the comb against the roots to guide and set the parting as it dries.
