Only use professional-grade products. I exclusively use Redken Color Gels Oils, chosen for their gentle, ammonia-free formula and long-lasting results.

Never bleach or lighten previously colored hair. Lightening is only suitable for virgin (untreated) hair, and even then with extreme care.

Always keep a safe distance from the base and attachment area (silk or lace top) to protect the construction.

Avoid applying color directly onto the silk or lace top, as this can cause staining or damage.

Always perform a strand and patch test before coloring.

Never leave the piece unattended while processing.
Color Guidelines - important tips
Because Hair by V pieces are made with 100% human hair, they can be dyed, but only by professionals familiar with wigs and toppers. DIY coloring is possible, but comes with risks.
Never bleach or lighten: only add darker tones using low-volume developer.
Processed hair cannot be lightened again.
Avoid any color near the silk or lace base. Stains are often permanent.
Always test a small strand first. Alternative hair absorbs color faster than natural hair.
